Ramsay signed the United Nations Global Compact in January 2021 and is pleased to affirm continuing support for the Ten Principles of the the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. Ramsay has been included in the FTSE4Good Global Index every year since 2011 - an acknowledgement of our strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. We have also been rated AA in the MSCI ESG Rating since 2017.

In 2023, Ramsay was first included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Australia Index, which measures the performance of companies globally using ESG criteria. Ramsay is the only hospital business on the Australian list of 54 leading companies.

Ramsay is a member of the Climate Leaders Coalition (CLC), a group of leading Australian companies and their CEOs, who are committed to the ambitions of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

Ramsay joined Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) in 2023. GGHH is an international network of hospitals and organisations working to reduce the health sector’s impact on the environment and promoting public and environmental health.

We are also a founding member of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of Accounting for Sustainability (A4S), a global network of Chief Financial Officers from large organisations who work together to develop and scale-up practical ways of embedding social and environmental risk and opportunity into strategic planning and decision-making. |
